Legacy Fund A Legacy Fund is established and funded exclusively by an individual or family, with annual grants, typically 5% of the fund's balance, made according to the donor's chosen causes or charitable vision. These funds offer a meaningful way to honor a loved one or sustain a lifelong passion. Legacy Funds are ideal for those who want to make a last- ing difference while preserving their name or values. The foundation provides full investment oversight and administrative support to ensure the donor's intent is hon- ored for generations. Donors contribute tax-deductible gifts to the fund, and the nonprofit may recommend grants, typically 5% of the fund's balance annually, that align with its pro- grams and values. These funds offer a simple and effective tool for planned giving and sustainability. The foundation handles all invest- ment management and administrative responsibilities, allowing the nonprofit to focus on its mission. Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Donor Advised Funds are ideal for individuals or fami- lies making a significant char- itable contribution-typically $250,000 or more - who wish to remain actively involved in recommending grants over time. Donors receive an immediate tax deduction and can recom- mend gifts to qualified charities at their own pace. Each year, 5% of the fund's value is available to be granted.
