About
The volunteer firefighters of the Big Horn Volunteer Fire Department proudly serve our community with duty, honor and pride. Our volunteers respond to medical calls, vehicle accidents, wildland fires and structure fires, among other emergencies.
We serve the 90 square mile Big Horn Fire District located 8 miles southwest of Sheridan, Wyoming. When requested, we provide mutual aid assistance to all the other volunteer departments within Sheridan County. We also provide support to City of Sheridan’s full time firefighting force. Many of our members serve the community in multiple ways in their private lives.
